- thank you to the two people who thoughtfully offered to share their umbrellas with me, even though it wasnt raining that badly.
- thank you to the kind petrol station attendant who charged me 10.00 even thought i ran up 10.05. (who ever heard of a petrol station charging less? they are always rounding up.)
both of these made my day.

This was a review in the TV guide for Bride & Prejudice:
“Bend it Like Beckham director Gurinder Chadha transplants Pride and Prejudice to India where modern mums are just as hell-bent as those of Regency England on hitching their daughters to young blokes with more prospects than muscle definition. it’s like curry, colourful, hot and spicy but you wouldn’t want to eat it every day.” (Clark Forbes)
It’s set in India, about Indians, so of course you must compare it to ‘curry’.
And why wouldn’t you want to eat curry everyday??
(actually i wouldnt. sometimes i need a break from spices and i craaaaaaaaave bland food – boiled veges, mashed potato…mmmm)

went away for a few days. here are a few things that amused me at the time. (you know when you think they are so hilarious and then you look back and think “ok, that actually wasnt that funny”. i guess you had to be there.
- bon jovi singing “i want to be just as close as, the holy ghost is…” bed of roses
- white socks and jeans. do it!
- my dorothy shoes
- it just takes a bit of good halal food to make me happy.
currently what is amusing me is Jonas Armstrong in Robin Hood.
hilarious.
